The Masonic Trowel

... to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection, that cement which unites us into one sacred band or society of brothers, among whom no contention should ever exist, but that noble emulation of who can best work or best agree ...

our masonic watch

To help us in our obligation, to aid us in the continual search for light, to keep me cognizant of the fact that I am a Free Mason 24 hours of the day, to perpetuate this way of life called Masonic. I offer " My Watch"

1 O'clock reminds us of the one great god to whom the Lodge is erected
2 O'clock reminds us of the 2 St's John to whom the Lodge is dedicated.

3 O'clock reminds us of the 3 Great Lights, 3 Lesser Lights and 3 steps.
4 O'clock reminds us of the 4 Cardinal Virtues and 4 Perfect Points of Entry.

5 O'clock reminds us of the 5 Points and 5 Points of Fellowship.
6 O'clock reminds us of the 6 Working tools, 6 Jewels, 3 moveable and 3 immovable.

7 O'clock reminds us of the 7 steps and that 7 members are required to open a Lodge of Master Masons.
8 O'clock reminds us of the 8 Monitorial Emblems.

9 O'clock reminds us of the Ninth Esoteric Emblem and the 9 emblems delineated on the Master's Carpet in some states.
10 O'clock reminds us of the 2 Pillars of the Lodge of which are ten letters.

11 O'clock reminds us of the 11 officers of the Lodge.
12 O'clock reminds us of the 12 Fellowcraft and the High and Low.

The face of the watch is pure and white, and free from stain.

The hands of the watch are busy, which reminds us we should keep our hands busy with Masonic Work.

When we look upon the case that encloses the working parts may we be reminded that all of us are constantly surrounded by the esteem and regard of the Fraternity the world over.

The Fellowship that will cherish and protect us, so long as our faith is sure and our cause is just.
